Concordia Council #2

Concordia Council #2 was organized and chartered circa September 1847 by John Barker, who was operating under the Scottish Rite at the time. Bro. Barker organized Nashville # 1, Concordia #2 at Columbia, Franklin # 3, and Clarksville # 4. These four Councils together with Liberty # 5 at Lagrange which was chartered by the Grand Council of Alabama met on October 13, 1847 and formed the Grand Council of Tennessee.

Concordia Council # 2 forfeited its charter on Nov. 11, 1880 for reasons unknown at this time. During it short existence members of the Council were active and supportive of the Grand Council with the following members serving as Grand Illustrious Master:

John P. Campbell served in 1851 & 1852
Lionel Howkins served in 1855
John H. Devereaux served in 1860
